RP Bio announced on the 4th that it will launch its first "persistent vitamin C" in Korea, which keeps functional ingredients constant for up to 10 hours once consumed through Our Farm, a health functional food brand exclusively for pharmacies.

This product is the first commercialization in Korea after it was approved as a new health functional food formulation by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. It is expected to contribute to strengthening the lineup of health functional foods exclusively for pharmacies.

"Sustainable Vitamin C" health functional foods maintain functional ingredients for up to 10 hours once a day, showing the same effect as taking them several times a day. The company expects that it will change the game of the health functional food market by ensuring a constant blood concentration throughout the day.

In particular, Our Farm is operated in principle not to use cheap Chinese and Japanese ingredients in products dedicated to health functional food corners in pharmacies. This product contains 510mg of premium vitamin C from the UK's high-quality DSM company.

Our Farm said, "The short-term goal of this product is to provide high-quality healthcare solutions that can satisfy both pharmacists and consumers."

Our Farm is focusing on expanding the appearance of pharmacy-only products. Currently, more than 8,000 pharmacies handle Our Farm products, and 70 Our Farm salespeople are supporting the distribution of the products. Our Farm, which was acquired by Baropharm, a platform specializing in pharmacy management, last year, saw its sales double.

In July, RP Bio was approved for the first time in Korea for 'persistent vitamin C', a new formulation of health functional food, and in August, it received certification for 'water-soluble vitamin test' from FAPAS in the UK. In this regard, it has completed the development of a test method for the "persistent vitamin C+B group complex" and is about to obtain certification from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
